Hi

Jan my medicated fet failed. Since then my periods that are normally 30-33 days apart have been 37 day cycle and I'm on day 36 now and still no sign. I know they say leave 3 periods for body to get back to normal.

Could my low amh be causing this and I'm peri menopausal or the fact they down regged me and this has had an effect on my ovaries?? As in they haven't bounced back? If menopause symtoms were starting would my cycles be getting shorter??

My amh was 3.84 2 years ago... My last cycle last june
11 eggs collected...how quickly is the decline to menopause?

Xx

Irregular periods or a change in cycle length are often a feature of perimenopause. Some women, like me, start having shorter but still fairly regular cycles. Other women find their cycles start becoming more unpredictable. But, as you say, your ovaries may still not be back to normal from various medications you've had over the last year. If you are in your late 30s or older, you probably are in perimenopause, but this typically goes on for years and years -- perimenopause just means your hormones and cycles are starting to change, not that you are necessarily anywhere close to full menopause.

You might consider having your FSH tested on Cycle Day 3. As far as I can tell, low AMH doesn't really tell you a whole lot about how far you are from actual menopause; but, if you get an extremely high FSH reading (e.g., 40), that's  a stronger indicator that menopause is getting closer.

Hi,

I'm in a similar situation. MC following medicated FET (MC happened NYE). Since then I had one short cycle in Jan (23 days), then 35 days, then a 40 day cycle - with AF coming just yesterday.

I'm not sure if it's my body that's mucked up or it's perimenopause - tbh I feel awful! I've just turned 34 and my AMH 2 years ago was 12. I'm having MY FSH and prolactin tested on Thursday via by GP.

Hopefully it's just messed up bodies that will go back to normal this cycle.
