Wax Crayons

Hi Ladies

I thought you resourcefull lot would have some ideas for me.............

What to do with the itty bits of wax crayons that get broken (or in our case at the moment - bitten) off and are then rendered useless for holding?

Can you melt them down and re-form to reuse?

Any other uses? It seems such a waste to throw them away!

Yes you can melt them down. Though I believe, not if they're washable type crayons.
Ours got left out in the garden (had the easel out in the summer time) so they were also covered in grit so I just binned them!

I tend to bin them too but I'm sure you can buy some gadget/toy thing to make "new" crayons with them. Maybe have a look at Toys R Us??

we use to melt and cut out with a cookie cutter lots of fun!

Also my mom used to wedge them into the old style wooden clothes peg... and use it as an extention.
