Hello, my husband and I have found our donor at Xytex and we are looking to purchase the donor sperm next week for IVF. Do you know if there is an import duty/tax in addition to the transport cost? We have looked on their site and also on the HFEA but can't find anything at all but conscious there maybe this extra cost.

I was lucky enough to piggyback onto an NHS order so got my fees waived, is that something you could do?

However as far as I am aware there are no import tax on top, it comes via fedex to the clinic.

How did you do that MinnieMo85? I'm about to set the wheels in motion importing from Xytex, this would be great!

 

My clinic said from the start that if an NHS couple were ordering sperm I was able to add my order to theirs.  So if you're able to wait you might be lucky enough to get free shipping.  As it was, I e-mailed to ask them about another single woman who was seeking DIUI to see if we could share shipping when they said they were placing an NHS order.

Otherwise I think shipping was about $585.00
